This is a tiny sneak peak into the story! This won't happen until chapter 2. Kevin is learning why vampires are so dangerous, and Kitten is immensely enjoying putting Kevin in his place.

Walter is not bleeding, nor has he touched blood. The red is his vamp, Kitten, the thing that makes him a vampire. Usually Kitten hides under Walter's skin, but Kitten comes out when they need to fight or when Walter lets him have a turn being in charge of their body. Right now Kitten is in charge.

Now inked! This is what the comic is going to look like! I'm so excited! It took some time, but I'm getting a little faster each time. I've decided to use black, white, and red since I need to have Kitten come out. If it was entirely black and white, Kitten would just end up being a weirdly-shaped black shadow on Walter. I needed Kitten, and whatever blood happens to be shed, to be red for it to stand out. I like it!

Chapter 1 is still in the thumbnailing stage. I will work hard on finishing that step here very soon. I have a couple of school projects to take care of first.

Drawn with my beloved purple prismacolor col-erase pencil. About 2 hours. Inking in Photoshop took about 4 hours?

I go barefoot whenever I can manage. I'd like to go barefoot outside, but I'm a little chicken when it comes to that...

I'm always Barefoot in the house, but I usually wear shoes when it's winter for outside stuff. 8-)

Walter will go barefoot in the snow when no one's looking. I wouldn't do that. That's cold.

Makes his teeth red too? Woah, that's odd. Would red-tipped fangs work better? I totally dig the tribal-esque crawl of the red up his limbs.
I do like the monochrome-ness too.. maybe working more on line widths would help prevent the need to add any shading? That'd still be a bit of work, but the red would be lost if there was a lot of shading or halftone.
Altogether tho.. I'd say experiement, you dont' need to finalize your style within the first chapter

Yeah. Walter himself doesn't have any fangs, so Kitten has to make them for him.

Working on the line widths it is! I like playing with those.
